Trail runs just behind cliff top opening provideing frequent access to overlooks. Just back from the open cliff top is a woodland of dwarf pitch pine - table mountain pine . Cliff face has scattered pine and sweet birch and abundant Lassalia on exposed positions, dropping out on high angle positions.;Sandstone escarpment along sloping ridgeline of N Fork Mtn. Plot is marrow zone of open cliff top and upper ledges with full exposure to sun and rain. Top includes areas of crushed gravel with herbs and shrubs, including bonzai pine. Steeper faces are dominated by Lasallia pensylvanica~scarcily on tops may be partly due to trample.
